The Munish Resorts are located at a peaceful hilltop, allowing for peace and great views but do not allow easy access on foot to Mandi’s busy center. Walking to the main market area around the Bhootnath Temple, and several shops is mostly downhill, taking about 25-30 minutes. This can be done by people who are physically fit because coming back up is quite steep which most visitors would find hard to do especially in the evening or when they have shopping with them. Hence, walking shall solely over-rely to pack to the tumultuous town center from here.

However, the immediate vicinity of the resort is very peaceful, allowing opportunities for quiet, local strolls. The hotel is located in a quiet residential ‘VIP’ area amidst green environment at and surrounded home other homes with ample space between them. A guest could take a safe and pleasant stroll along quiet lanes near the hotel to breathe in the fresh mountain air and have great ‘room’ views over the valley without noise and traffic of the main town which is further away. This immediate walkability is about enjoying the serenity and scenic beauty just outside the door, not access to commercial services.

For all intents and purposes, such as needing to go to the main market, eat at more restaurants, or see the temples, guests would do well to have a vehicle with them. Mandi’s heart is well-connected just a short 10-minute taxi or auto-rickshaw drive away. The hotel’s location is best understood as a peaceful vantage point from which to have a comfortable escape but will require most forms of transportation for access to the main commercial and cultural activities of the town.
